New Spam Filter Configuration
First
you have to open a web browser and type in (or "copy" and
"paste" the link provided)
"http://spamgateway.kinex.net/maia". The page will have a
prompt for a user name and password, they are your email address with
us (include the "@kinex.net)
and your password. For example "techs@kinex.net"
would be the user name, and then supply the password.

The first page you come to is the welcome page. On this page is an overview of everything the filter has done for you. You can click on any category to see the mail in it and allow/deny each individual message. On the side of the window you will see your protection level set to none, we recommend you set it to high. On the top of your page you will see your "home", "stats", "settings", "W/B list", "help", and "logout" buttons.

On this page is where you decide what is spam and what needs to be kept. In the event that a spam message is captured you can go into one of the categories listed for you and allow it through. This will help you with messages incorrectly flagged or with messages with attachments such as programs quarantined from your mailbox. Each category has a "Report/Rescue" button next to it. You use this to enter the category the message is being held.

![]()
Once in the quarantine you can choose to select a message as "spam", "non-spam", or "delete". Once you have made changes to the message(s) you simply press "confirm the Status of these Items" and the message list will be updated. If you chose to mark an item as "non-spam" it will be sent to your "non-spam" category and the next time you receive an email from that sender you will get it automatically.

The next page is your stats page and it shows you a summary in percentage form of the types of mail you have received and what the filter has done with it.

The Settings page is where you can customize the miscellaneous settings for the mail filter, this should be fine on defaults, and where you can see what email address is being filtered.

The
help page will give you a detailed explanation of each item's meaning
and use. If you feel confused, or just curious about what the filter
is asking of you feel free to consult this page it will inform you on
what it means. If you are still curious about it please feel free to
call our office, 434-392-4804.

Finally the logout button, which securely logs you out of the program.

Now it will display that you have successfully logged out of the filter.
